About Us - Brief History

S.E.C. Registration No. CN201313853

A non-stock and non-profit organization under the Corporate Code of the Republic of the Philippines (Batas Pambansa Blg.68)

In 2005, a Church ministry program adopted the advocacy as Religious Group, under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act (R.A. 9165) of Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB). It is a “Drug Awareness Education and Information Campaign” against the ill effects of drugs, alcohol and tobacco. This program existed for more than five years.

With much burden and passion for the young people who are victims / users of illegal drugs and different vices; Kabataan Iwas Droga Movement Inc. also known as K.I.D. Movement has been conceived after two years.

Until finally, on November 2011, this Movement was launched in General Trias, Cavite, in partnership with the Office of the Mayor and Church of God, World Missions, Phillippines.

The said seminars have been the entry point that gave us good opportunity to conduct drug awareness seminar, especially to the Barangay Sangguniang Kabataan (S.K.) also to the public and private institutions (both College and High School).

A year later, due to a nationwide scope of the program in addressing the needs of the inquiries, also with its great results and proper compliance to the law, K.I.D. Movement has been registered in the Securities and Exchange Commission known as the “Kabataan Iwas Droga Movement, Inc.” with its S.E.C. Reg. No.201313853; functioning as a non-profit / non-government organization. Committed to continue our advocacy to every Filipino youth --- in the community and in the Philippines.
